In 2022, US online retail sales, excluding travel, surpassed $1 trillion last year “for the first time in history”. Amazon's share of the total was 37.8%. Second place was occupied by the e-commerce site of retail chain Walmart, with a 6.3 percent market share, followed in third place by Apple, with 3.9 percent.
