Definition

Ecosystem connectivity measures the presence of institutional and individual agents that facilitate the formation, growth and success of local startups.

This indicator assesses:

• The number of startup events hosted in the county.
• The number of entrepreneurship programs in local higher education institutions.
• The density of individual angel investors reported active in the county.

Significance

A measure of the quantity and type of existing community resources available to foster entrepreneurial activity.
