Economic Development Collaborative Releases COVID-19 Business Resource Guide for Santa Barbara County
The Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) has released new COVID-19 business resources to aid tri-county employees, employers, and self-employed individuals
CAMARILLO, Calif. – Actively working to better assist tri-county employees, employers, and self-employed individuals amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) announced on Wednesday the addition of two new critical business resources. The first, a COVID-19 Business Resource Hotline number created to answer questions related to all local, state, and federal resources, loans, and consulting services available to businesses, non-profits, self-employed individuals and employees during this time. The second, a new live webinar series kicking off this Friday, April 3, 2020 at 1:00PM PST on the topic of, “Navigating Local, State and Federal Resources Available Through The CARES Act.”
Following this upcoming Friday’s webinar, the EDC will be hosting weekly webinars every Wednesday at 12:30PM PST to address business-community questions as related to COVID-19. Clare Briglio, Communications and Business Disruption Resource Director for the EDC and host of the upcoming webinar series, stated, “Following both President Trump and Gavin Newsom’s official State of Emergency declaration, the federal, state, and local government are in the process of working within its emergency response networks to bring relief to individuals and businesses that have been directly affected. The Economic Development Collaborative has been quickly working to provide updated resources to the business and non-profit community and we hope that the addition of this new business resource hotline and the live webinar series will help provide clarity and assistance to tri-county employers, self-employed individuals, and employees who have been impacted by COVID-19.”
