Gary Mendel
For nearly 30 years, Gary was president of Meridian Finance Group, a specialized credit insurance brokerage and trade finance resource for exporters. A 1976 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Gary held diverse international sales positions before founding Meridian in 1993. Meridian has been of service to hundreds of U.S. exporters, earning the President’s “E” Award and recognition from USDOC, EXIM, SBA, and other agencies. In 2020 Meridian was acquired by Texel Finance Ltd, creating a global brokerage with offices around the world. Since retiring in 2022, Gary has volunteered with SCORE as a mentor for small and growing businesses.
